Saving custom files to the flash
From ImageStream Router Documentation
This document describes how to save user files when you do a backup flash. This allows these files be to available after a reboot of the router.
- The router must be running a Imagestream Linux 4.X.X release
- The total size of the files being saved in flash can not exceed 8MB
- You must know the full path to the file that you wish to save to flash
The backup flash command reads the file at /root/FileListing the file contains the list all of the files and paths that the system backup up when you use the backup command. To add files to this list you must edit this file. From the Main Menu choose Option #3 Advanced ---> Option #1 Bash Shell. You can then run the following command.
This will open a text editor. The default file is shown below. WARNING Do not remove any of the default options.
/etc /root /usr/local/sand/wan.conf /usr/local/sand/up /usr/local/sand/down
Add the full path to your custom file. For example if you have a file located at /bin/netstat-nat the resulting FileListing file would look like the example below.
/etc /root /usr/local/sand/wan.conf /usr/local/sand/up /usr/local/sand/down /bin/netstat-nat
Write out these changes and backup the router to flash to ensure your changes to the backup process and your custom files are saved.
